- This is an odd patch. It looks 20-30 years older than it is. It has no FDL. It is
the only cut edge Clendening patch. It is Swiss embroidery when most other patches
from the era are CD. It almost looks like someone forgot to order patches and they
had to quickly scramble outside normal channels to get a patch made. The quote refers
to the back of the entrance gate. As you leave the camp, you read "To these things
you must return."
