Green "Kenny Heatley" Patch
Green Border - Staff to Camper: Awarded by a Staff member to a Scout or Scouter who has exhibited a love for the camp, a dedication to program, a love of Scouting and amazing Scout Spirit.
From the Camp Leaders Guide:
"The Kenny Patch"
Kenneth Heatley, affectionately known as "Kenny", was the long-time camp cook the Pioneer Valley and later the Western massachusetts Councils.Kenny loved life, his family, and the Moses Scout Reservation. He exuded an enthusiasm that radiated out from his smile and was instantly contagious. In this, Kenny embodied the idea of "Scout Spirit". There wasn't a mealtime that went by that he didn't talk to the Scouts and Staff that entered the dining hall, often bursting out in song from the kitchen or during camp program time.
When Kenny passed away in 2018, the Staff wanted to do something remember Kenny's Legacy, and the "Kenny Patch" was born.
The "Kenny Patch" is awarded to an individual for exhibiting the type of Scout Spirit that Kenny was known for - for going above and beyond the call of one's duties while at camp, lifting spirits, always keeping a smile, and being a role model for those around them
