Location: Private house on Sheepshead Bay at 2902 Emmons Ave., Brooklyn, NY.
Start Date: Dedicated 4/24/1960.
End Date: Ended use 1966. Final Sale 1/19/78.
Name Origin: From John W. Rueger.
Acquisition: Donated by Miss Emily Rueger to the Greater New York Councils in 1958. Miss Rueger, 92 years old, dedicated the house on 4/24/60 to her grandfather, Mr. John W.
Rueger. Mr. Rueger, a wealthy contractor, built the Victorian house sometime in the late 19th century.
How Disposed: Sold by the Greater New York Councils as of Jan. 19, 1978 for $105,375.48
Weekend Facilities: Boating and sailing. The Rueger house was used to teach water-relatec skills.

Additional Info: The property was used by the twenty-six Sea Explorer Ships in the five boroughs to dock, maintain and store their boats (1960).
