Quincy Council (IL) 141 was organized in 1919 and changed its name to Adams County Council 141 in 1926. A year later, it was renamed Quincy Area Council 141, and in 1935 the name was changed to Saukee Area Council 141. Saukee Area Council 141 merged with Southeast Iowa Council 171 in 1993 to form the Mississippi Valley Council 141.
