Council History

Collin County Council 569 was organized in 1923 and merged with Lamar County Council 580 in 1927 to form Lone Star Area Council 569. In 1928, the council changed its name to Adobe Walls Council 569. In 1931 it absorbed Southeast Panhandle Council 563 and Tex-Okla Council 489. Adobe Walls added "Area" to its official name in 1934. In 1986, the council merged with Llano Estacado Council 562 to form Golden Spread Council 562.
