History

Camp Raven Knob Commemorative Flap

Camp Raven Knob opened during the summer of 1954. The first Order of the Arrow area fellowship (now section conclave) that was held at Raven Knob occurred in April 1956. The colors and images on this flap are intended to mimic those on the patch that was created for the Area 6-A Fellowship at Raven Knob in 1956. The 1956 fellowship patch was the first to depict Raven Knob Mountain on a Boy Scout patch. The raven on the flap is similar to one that has appeared on most Camp Raven Knob patches since 1957 and was first used on what is now called the “Raven” camp patch.
