| History | (none) | Hurricane Helene formed in late September 2024 over the northwestern Caribbean Sea. Helene quickly gained strength and rapidly intensified to a major Category 4 hurricane bringing windspeeds of 140 mph. Helene came on the heels of Hurricane Debby and Hurricane Francine. The remnants of Helene dumped record amounts of rain on an already saturated Western North Carolina, causing vast amounts of damage from the winds and flooding. This Tsali Lodge patch set celebrates the community that worked tirelessly to help WNC begin recovery from the storm. |
