The R7 was a mistake. The LEC approved a design for a new round to be made. It would be fully embroidered and 500 were to be made. It was supposed to be a "standard" round. However, the Staff Adviser ordered a twill round and only ordered 100 instead of 500. A re-order was placed to allow all members to have a chance at buying one. When they were sold out the R9 was then ordered.
