- When these function patches are assembled with the loops inward, the designs connect
to show a circle with the colors representing the passage of time through the year
from spring to summer to Independence Day to fall to a dark evening to late fall
/ early winter. The "WWW" are in the clouds, the mountains, and in the valley of
each patch, and the river is in the shape of a "3". The FDL is ghosted on each
except for the Vigil Induction patch (night coloring) where it is in glow-in-the-dark
thread to represent a glowing fire. Each also shows a Cardinal soaring.
