Deer head; Red "540"; (1974)
Reported by Larry Mackereth on September 9, 2024: I was vice-chief in 1974 and made the motion to issue a chenille and submitted a design, both of which were approved. I can certify that 25 patches were manufactured by a sporting goods manufacturer rather than standard pennant. The patches were numbered on the back. All brotherhood members were eligible to purchase one chenille. This information is corroborated by Tom Moore in his History of Ahtuhquog Lodge, which includes a near complete list of the original purchasers of each patch.
