Section History

In 2021 the National Council developed its most recent regional realignment concept and the six Virginia-based lodges comprising Section SR-7A became Section 9 of the Eastern Region. The territory was left unchanged. On August 1, 2023, Mason-Dixon Council, headquartered in Hagerstown, Maryland, merged with Shenandoah Area Council to become Mason-Dixon District under Shenandoah Area Council. This activity welcomed back Guneukitschik #317 to the Virginia-based Section.
