History

One prototype was ordered by Linda Conner of the Peninsula Scout Shop for the council to consider as a new design for the 100% Unit FOS Unit Participation patch. The intent was to illustrate how the council is located on the San Francisco Peninsula with the Pacific Ocean to the west and San Francisco Bay to the east. The Golden Gate Bridge is north of the council and the El Palo Alto tree is in the south. The production patch (SA-5) changed the border color from BLK to RED, lettering from SMY to YEL and the bridge from BLK to RED.
